Power capacitors LV Normal
Under normal operating conditions, some electrical devices (electric motors, welders, fluorescent lamps) consume not only active energy from the network but also reactive energy. This is necessary, from a physical point of view, to ensure the proper functioning of these devices. However, the sum of both energies burdens the transmission networks. The aim is to connect a properly designed capacitor to the appliance, which supplies reactive energy directly to the appliance. This reduces the amount of reactive energy transmitted over the network. We call this solution as power factor correction.
